Maximum Feasible Compliance - If a failed on-site system cannot be fully
upgraded to full compliance with Title 5, the Local Board of Health is authorized
to approve an upgrade to bring the system as close to compliance as possible
(310 CMR 15.404).
Mounded System - Systems that are constructed in fill, which extends either
wholly or partially above natural grade for purpose of complying with the required
four or five foot separation to groundwater (310 CMR 15.212).
